A: The front feet of the main furniture pieces in a seating group should touch the edge of the rug.

B: All the furniture in the seating group can also rest completely on a rug.

Rug Solutions for a Dining Room

A: The front and back of your dining chair should rest completely on the rug.

B: A minimum of 1" of flooring should show between the rug and the wall.

A: 4x8 or 6x9 is a good size for a rug that sits at the end of the bed.

B: 8x10 or 9x12 is a good size for a rug that goes completely under the bed.
